Hello, I’m Pete, the photographer behind Peter Kenningham Photography.

I have been interested in photography for more than 20 years, but today my work focuses entirely on equine photography. I photograph showjumping, dressage, showing, pleasure rides, point-to-point meetings and other equestrian events across Hull, East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas.

I enjoy capturing the strength, character and personality of horses, together with the relationship between horse and rider. Whether it is a carefully timed photograph over a fence, an action shot out on a pleasure ride or a quieter moment between horse and owner, my aim is to create natural images that people will genuinely want to keep.

A Professional and Safety-Conscious Approach

Peter Kenningham Photography is fully insured, giving event organisers, venues and clients additional peace of mind.

Safety is also an important part of the way I work. Equestrian environments can be busy and unpredictable, so I always consider the movement of horses, riders, spectators and event vehicles when choosing where to position myself.

Alongside photography, I run Jewel Safety, providing professional health and safety training and consultancy to businesses. This experience helps me approach equestrian photography with a strong awareness of risk, sensible positioning and respect for event safety arrangements.

Equine Event Photography

I aim to work quietly and professionally without disrupting competitors or the running of the event. Photographs are made available through easy-to-use online galleries, allowing riders and owners to view and purchase their favourite images after the event.
